60th Anniversary of Mossbank Debate

While most will be celebrating 2017 as the 150 anniversary of Canada, a few may also take note that it will also mark the 60th anniversary of the 1957 debate between Tommy Douglas and Ross Thatcher in Mossbank, Saskatchewan. Dubbed the "Debate of the Century," the fracas surrounding the icon of prairie socialism and the champion of free enterprise demonstrated that democracy can be noisy and a lot of fun.
